The Apple iPhone is already a big noise in mobile gaming, but with the announcement of Apple iPhone 3.0 software this can only be boosted even further as the announcement specifically mentioned games in connection with several of the 100 new features and 1000 APIs.
Such as the Apple iPhone will be able to use Bluetooth to enable peer to peer gaming, and no doubt Apple iPhone game developers will undoubtedly take advantage of the many other features.
The iPhone 3.0 also opens up the possibility of offering additional game levels although at the moment it is not known if that will be via activating the full version of a game after a free trial or if it will go with providing extra level expansion packs.
