The “Connect” phone design concept from designer Gavin Flowers is simple and ultra-slim while incorporating large buttons that are easy to find, while Flowers says the design is to improve the overall appearance and usability of a handheld device.
Flowers says the majority of mobile markets target the mid-age group, while the mature age group can’t relate or adjust to these products easily. User and physical interaction aspects are the main issues that halt mature people using most mobile phones.
On the “Connect” phone the Optimus keys have small OLED displays which can be programmed to accommodate multiple functions and allow what could be a complex menu to be hidden within the Optimus keys and thus take the hassle out of finding the correct key for a function.
