Palm Pre or Apple iPhone? New 3.0 OS and Apps should win
With the Palm Pre coming out soon, and now the announcement of the Apple iPhone gaining iPhone 3.0 OS, which would you prefer to own?
For instance, would you prefer the Palm Pre with a few existing apps supplied by 3rd-party developers, or would you prefer the Apple iPhone which has in excess of 25,000 applications and mobile games.
Apple has taken the upper hand with the iPhone 3.0 giving 100 new features and access for developers to 1000 app programming interfaces which will enable them to construct or improve on their apps, which will no doubt lead to better and more sophisticated apps becoming available.
So readers, which would you choose, the Palm Pre or the Apple iPhone 3G?

Do you not find it a bit pointless asking this question when the title of the page leads readers to believe the iPhone 3.0 has already won?
I am going for Palm Pre, not to win but to give good competition and a solid product against the iPhone 3.0
Pre for me. Multi tasking swings it.
Winner will be Palm Pre. As it comes with$99.00 (everthing Plan) compares to $149.00 with AT&T. Why should I pay $588.00 more per year.
Palm has burned me for the last time with their junky TX. iPhone and iPod Touch Forever!

Hmm lets see, a phone that hasnt even been released yet or a phone that has had almost 2 years in the making? The two arent even comparable on those standards. Palm will be offering its own App store and last time I checked Apple offers software built by 3rd party developers.
Ill be rooting for the Palm Pre in this battle. Apple ripped off a lot from Palm’s patent portfolio and Im not saying it was ok for Palm to do so of Apple buut the Palm Pre was the first smartphone to win Best of CES.
