Samsung B2100 Xplorer rugged handset announced
Samsung has gone official with the Samsung B2100 Xplorer, a low end mobile phone that is ruggedised, a sort of prettier version of the Sonim XP3 Enduro handset. The Samsung B2100 Xplorer comes with a wealth of endurance certificates and can be submerged in up to one meter of water for up to thirty minutes.
The Samsung B2100 Xplorer handset unfortunately goes without any 3G and also lacks a digital compass and altimeter, but it is resistant to shock, slat, fog, dust and water and complies with European IP57 and US Military Standard 810F.
Constructed out of urethane which is the same material used to construct roller blades, the Samsung B2100 Xplorer features a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth A2DP, noise cancellation, longer vibration, new secure lock mechanism over the battery, and is to be released in Germany along with other European countries in April, but no word on price yet.
