Sony Ericsson has announced they expect to make a pre-tax loss of somewhere between $459 and $526 million in the 1st quarter which they say has been hurt by weak demand.
Sony Ericsson, sitting behind the likes of Nokia, Samsung and LG as No 4 in the world say they expect to ship about 14 million mobile handsets during this period and estimate the average selling price to be about €120.
These pre-tax profits exclude 10 to 20 million euros restructuring charges. At 0814 GMT Ericsson shares fell sic percent to 71.30 crowns.
