Research In Motion along with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd have launched BCNL for BlackBerry individual and enterprise customers in Chandigarh.

BSNL will support the BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry 8700g and the BlackBerry Curve 8310 smarphones and users will be able to use 3G capabilities, with the BlackBerry Bold becoming the first BlackBerry smartphone to run on the BSNL HSDPA network.

The original plan was to launch BSNL in April but other area will follow with Bhatinda gaining BSNL today followed by Pathankot and Kapurthala by the end of March. IPTV has also been launched in Jalandhar city and Chandiagrh with Patiala and Ludhiana following in April.
