Apple iPhone 3G on Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Three & O2
Are you looking for an Apple iPhone 3G on Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Three or O2 network? Well earlier we told you about Play.com offering the unlocked SIM Free iPhone 3G, well we want to ask what you think.
All those living in the UK and not wanting to tie down to O2 can now have this smartphone with any network they wish, the Apple iPhone will work on any of the networks mentioned above but for a lot of money.
Over on Cnet they report saying that Play.com have said that these phones can be registered like normal using Apple’s Web site. Just so you know; apparently you cannot use visual voicemail on these unlocked SIM Free iPhones.

Not only will you not be able to use visual voicemail but I’m seriously worried about Play.com’s returns policy. It’s 28 days. There is no mention, anywhere on the company’s website, about a year’s guarantee and what to do if your iPhone breaks after 28 days. In the UK, the law states that your contract as a buyer is with the person/company you bought the product from, so I can’t see an Apple store wanting to sort it out for you.
Play.com is based in Jersey, Channel Islands, so I’m not sure if it comes under full UK law with regards to Trading Standards.
