Research In Motion is to launch their new mobile application store, Blackberry App World at CTIA in Las Vega on the 1st of April according to Business Week.
Research In Motion co-CEO, Mike Lazaridis has been slated to make a keynote address on day one of CTIA 2009, and is expected to announce the new BlackBerry App World store.
As we all know the BlackBerry App World is RIM’s answer to the likes of the Apple iTunes App Store, Nokia Ovi Store, Google’s Android Market, Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace, and the Palm App Store.
The success of BlackBerry App World will no doubt depend on whether RIM can get developers to develop for the BlackBerry platform, and plans on taking a 20% cut where Apple takes 30%.
