iPhone Stealth Biometric security patented by Apple
Apple has developed and filed a patent on providing a secure way of preventing unauthorised access to the Apple iPhone by placing a biometric reader inside the iPhone.
This new patent biometric sensor would be hidden inside the iPhone or Apple Mac and would be able to recognise a finger vein pattern or fingerprint as the user touches the display. Also a forward facing camera would be able to complete a retinal scan or recognise the user’s facial features, says a report on AppleInsider.
Looks like Apple it taking iPhone security into the future with the possibility of also being able to recognise the iPhoner’s voice, and even collect DNA samples or even recognise the shape of an iPhoner’s ear before allowing a call to proceed.
