Nokia has unveiled their new service Nokia Point & Find which apparently merges mobile with real worlds by enabling the user to access info and services by pointing their Nokia mobile phone camera towards everyday objects.
The Nokia Point & Find service is still in beta but Nokia has created the service as an open service platform so companies can build upon it according to the guys over at Intomobile.
With that in mind, Nokia is inviting interested parties with a view to discuss the prospect of jointly creating “unique user experiences.” Basically Nokia Point & Find works by when the user points at an object the Point & Find service uses GPS, Internet and the handset camera to evaluate, search through a virtually tagged database, identify and return associated links and content to the user.
