The new Bluetooth version 3.0 is set to be announced soon which apparently will allow the transfer of larger media files over a wireless connection such as hundreds of photos and DVDs.
According to moconews, as I reported the other day, Bluetooth SIG will unveil Bluetooth 3.0 on the 21st of April, but has not confirmed when Bluetooth 3.0 will be available to the public.
Apparently Bluetooth 3.0 is capable of achieving higher speeds via integrated WiFi which allows the transfer of large files then when WiFi is no longer needed reverts back to normal operating.
Now the thing is, will Bluetooth 3.0 be good enough to handle those larger files? Guess we will have to wait and see
.
