If you have an Apple iPhone and like to keep tabs on the financial market you may be interested in knowing that according to an article on pcworld, the Wall Street Journal has just released a free app for the Apple iPhone.

Word is the WSJ app for iPhone looks and feels similar to that of the NYT for iPhone app including the screen hogging advertising, editor’s picks, browsing the WSJ various categories and headlines, along with video and radio sections.

It’s a bit surprising that the WSJ has opted to give the app for free, but obviously doesn’t see the WSJ iPhone application as damaging to their financial website.
