In a report on Reuters they say without a doubt Apple’s Apple iTunes App Store rules the roost. However, there are other app stores that offer benefits of their own such as BlackBerry and Android.

Obviously Apple is the big bear in the applications store arena, but the likes of BlackBerry App World and the Android Market are holding their own and offer a broad range of mobile apps and games.

But when it comes to variety of applications available there is obviously one clear winner and that is Apple with 25.000 apps with almost 1 billion sold. But BlackBerry App World are doing well with 1000 apps available and Google’s Android Market has about 2300 as of March.
