Poll: Will Sprint’s Palm Pre Fail and why the waiting game?
We have talked about the Palm Pre quite a few times lately and if we have gone overboard with the news please accept our apology, but there are so many of you asking questions about this smartphone and we need to keep you updated.
We have had many comments and many questions rolling in and one that sticks out the most is “Will Sprint’s Palm Pre Fail and why the waiting game”?
Has Sprint & Palm got to the point where they have all the bark but no bite? Not only are they making you wait for the new Palm Pre but they are also making you wait for the Pixie and other non-existent products. So please let us know what you thoughts are by voting on the poll below.

The answer I lean toward in the poll above is “Yes, they are making us wait too long”, however they are still within the first half of the year; which has been their official position from day one.
That being said, I do admit to anxiety in anticipation of AT LEAST AN ANNOUNCEMENT of when within the first half of the year we can expect the Pre release. I can’t imagine Sprint and Palm will wait until June 30 to announce that the “Pre is officially launched! Come and get 1 of 375,000 while you can!”
Considering today is May 11th, there is just over a month and a half remaining before the last possible day of release (if the “first half” commitment holds). I am not up to speed on industry standards but I would hope that a 30-day notice is not out of the question? If not, look for a Pre release announcement within the next two weeks. An announcment any later than that would, in my opinion, be irresponsible.
You know, I think the author of most of these reports is 17 years old and doesn’t know the meaning of the word patience.
Go get a damn Iphone, for heavens sake! For every valid report on the Palm Pre you write a dozen rumors about release dates and the rest are diatribes about why Palm is taking so long to launch the Pre.
OK, get this, today is May 12; there’s another half month and then another month until the end of the first half of the year. That’s 33 Conan’s plus weekends.
Of course, that means we’ll have just as many rants about why Palm is so slow.
So I got an idea, now hear me out: why not write something factual about the Pre? If that’s too much then why don’t you just kill it off my not writing about it?
Sadly, once it’s launched I know you will find something else to handwring about.
