Anticipating a forthcoming war between mobile phone companies, Vodafone has launched the first strike by abolishing roaming charges for UK customers whilst travelling in Europe states the Times Online.
Beginning on the 1st of June, under the terms of a 3 month deal, Vodafone customers in the UK will be able to text and call phones 35 European countries for the standard price of when in the UK.
Caps on roaming charges are due to come into effect as of June 1st, and it is thought that this price cut will be the first of many from mobile operators, which is of course great news for mobile customers.
