So Best Buy purchases Napster for $121 million last year, and because Napster doesn’t work on the iPhone and iPod Best Buy comes up with a solution which is to bend the music subscription in a way that it gets along with the iPhone and iPod according to an article found on wired.com.
A new Napster subscription has launched which allows any user to stream any of Napster’s 7 million tunes to their computer for only $5 per month, and apparently to bridge the gap to the iPhone and iPod, subscribers gain up to 5 free downloads per month.
So if this Napster $5 per month subscription actually includes an application for the iPhone it could well become quite popular. Chris Gorog, CEO of Napster has implied that Napster is looking into the possibility.
