Members of the Unified Test Initiative have now announced new Java Verified program capabilities along with the launch of JATAF or Java Application Terminal Alignment Framework reports businesswire.

JATAF is a new open source project whereby members of the global Java Platform Micro Edition ecosystem collaborate to streamline the testing of applications across a varied range of handheld devices and mobile phones.

JATAF provides developers with better testing features which enable the easier delivery of Java based mobile applications to business and customers across the globe, and opens the door to new revenues across the Java ecosystem.
