INQ Mobile has plans to introduce a Twitter phone by Christmas and hopes to cash in on the popular interest in Twittering, the head of INQ has told Reuters.

According to INQ chief exec, Frank Meehan, the INQ Twitter phone would be the first mass market phone with an internet based Twitter client and cost operators less than $140.

Meehan also confirmed that the phone will operate via internet connection for sending tweets like Twitter’s own service. INQ Mobile also has plans to launch another mobile phone for the Christmas market.
