Cole Brodman, T-Mobile USA’s CTO has confirmed that T-Mobile USA is gearing up to roll out their 2nd Google Android mobile handset. Brodman told moconews that the follow up mobile phone to the T-Mobile G1 will be out early in summer and details of the release will follow this month.
T-Mobile is the 4th largest US carrier and has sold at least 1 million Android powered handsets, and although there isn’t much known on specifics about the new Android phone it will follow the launch of the Palm Pre but may just land in stores before the expected new iPhone 2009.
The new Android phone will sport the Cupcake OS; however, Brodman wouldn’t speculate further other than state T-Mobile USA has multiple new Android devices coming from new handset manufacturers.
