Apparently according to engadget mobile while at WWDC 2009, the Symbian Foundation was thring to woo iphone developers by offering such things as coffee and food and a “hackathon,” and prizes.
Also to entice, the Symbian Foundation offered a free Nokia 5800 mobile phone to attendees, all in the hopes of enticing developers away from the Apple App Store in favour of the Ovi Store.
One thinks it will take a little more than that even if the Symbian Foundation does bring their rodo-duckie mascot into play. Ovi Store look out, beer drinking applications are heading your way.
