No more getting lost if you own an iPhone 3G or iPhone 3G S handset as pcmag reports while at WWDC 2009 TomTom joined Apple on stage and demonstrated TomTom navigation for the Apple iPhone.
TomTom’s announcement covered 2 products, the iPhone navigation app and the TomTom Car kit for iPhone. It is expected the TomTom application will be available later this summer from the iTunes App Store although no word on price as yet. The TomTom application will include TeleAtlas maps and TomTom IQRoutes.
The TomTom Car kit for iPhone uses a suction-cup cradle to securely attach the iPhone to the vehicles window or dashboard and features a separate high sensitivity GPS receiver for enhanced performance and will also charge the iPhone.
