The all new Voice Control will be here pretty soon with Apple iPhone OS 3.0 working in conjunction with the all new iPhone 3GS, let’s talk a little about it shall we.
With the new iPhone 3G S when holding down the Home Button it will activate the awesome ‘Voice Control’, when this button is pressed it will sound off a tone and then launch Voice Control, this will take over the VoiceOver feature which basically means you can control the iPhone with voice commands.
Voice Control will allow you to make commands such as: call/dial (contact name), call (contact telephone number) — you can either say someone’s name that’s in your contacts phonebook or even say the number itself like 5555762 (you get what we mean).
You can even use the voice control for working the iPod, these commands include play (playlist name, song name, album name, artist name), you can say things like “Play all songs by this artist” and much more.
Whenever you speak using voice control a computer generated voice will reply, so say you say “Call Mark” the computer generated voice will reply “Calling Mark”. You can even launch apps using voice, take voice memos, and email people using voice and so on.
The great thing is that it supports many languages such as: Chinese (Mainland), Chinese (Taiwan), Czech, Danish, Dutch (Belgian), Dutch (Netherlands), English (Australian), English (UK), English (U.S.), Finnish, French (Canada), French (France), German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish (Mexico), Spanish (Spain), Swedish, Thai, Turkish
