According to a report on thestreet, T-Mobile USA along with Verizon Wireless has plans to launch Android platform smartphone supplied by Motorola before the end of the year.
Apparently the Android platform smartphone are part of Motorola’s efforts to regain traction within the mobile phone market.
The word is T-Mobile will launch a touch screen Motorola Android handset with a slide out keyboard and will emphasize “social communications” services along with social networking software such as Twitter and Facebook.
Verizon Wireless in a joint venture with Vodafone and Verizon Communications will launch a Motorola handset similar to that of T-Mobile, although there is no word on what models either will be launching.
