Apparently Nokia is going Android as according to an article on the Guardian, they quote “industrial insiders” as claiming Nokia is to reveal an Android platform touch screen smartphone during Nokia World in September.
The world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer makes roughly 4 out of every 10 mobile phones sold, but has been losing out to handsets that can access the internet and download applications such as the iPhone and BlackBerry.
The move to go with Android is a reversal by Nokia’s previous strategy although they never ruled out the option of going with the Android platform.
