Apparently the guys over at engadget mobile have received word that as of today the 8th of July, people will no longer be able to ring Sprint telesales to order the Palm Pre smartphone.
Apparently this move is so Sprint “can focus inventory in sales channels where customers have the best opportunity to experience Ready Now, and we can deliver the best purchasing experience.”
This of course can be interpreted in two ways, one Sprint isn’t happy with the out-of-box experience customers are receiving without in store VIP treatment, or telesales is hurting Sprint’s ability to maintain stocks of the Palm Pre at stores.
