Sales of the new iPhone 3GS have skyrocketed in the 3rd quarter delivering record best ever quarterly figures to Apple reports top10.
Apparently Apple reported profits of £750 million for the quarter from total sales of £5 billion and claim the massive demand for the iPhone 3GS as a driving factor. Over the period, sales of the iPhone 3GS hit a staggering 57,000 per day which is a six fold increase from the same period of last year.
Apple CFO, Peter Oppenheimer has said response to the iPhone 3GS has been tremendous and we are currently unable to produce enough iPhone 3GS units to meet demand but we are working on it.
