Its been said that the $299 that Sprint charges for the Palm Pre is not justified. As the phone apparently contains just run of the mill features.
The anaemic App Catalog does present many opportunities to bring the device to the same levels of others in its price range. It’s not a bad phone on the whole but it’s not worth the $200 to $250 premium over the BlackBerry Curve, the T-Mobile G1, or the iPhone 3G.
Palm released the SDK for WebOS, a set of documentation and tools on July 16th but for some reason Palm had previously kept this hidden. Why? Did Palm want to keep the SDK out of power users’ and keen developers hands. The WebOS platform is all about the ease with which you can create new applications in JavaScript.
