According to TechCrunch Social Gaming Network’s (SGN) Fleet Air Superiority Training F.A.S.T there is potential to make a lot of money with an iPhone application. The recent launch of the dogfight game pulled in over $1 million in six weeks from download fees alone.
Originally priced at $9.99 but since then SGN has varied the price and it is currently selling for as little as $1.99 and is bringing in a record $60,000 a day.
More than $100 million has been invested in iPhone start ups, and there is going to be a lot more companies developing extremely high quality games for iPhone users. Although it isn’t really clear if F.A.S.T can maintain this trajectory or how long the lifetime of an iPhone application has.
