Canned Carrier Messages Bring in $620 Million for Verizon?
Do you find those 15 second canned carrier messages annoying? You know the ones that instruct you how to leave a voice message like you’re some kind of idiot who doesn’t know how.
Well according to an article on engadget mobile, The New York Times David Pogue is taking those canned carrier messages to task.
Pogue has apparently found out that those canned carrier messages actually cost the customer and estimates Verizon scrapes in a staggering $620 million per year due to those annoying messages. Therefore Pogue wants mobile phone users to take up virtual arms and complain.
