The iPhone application has been successfully put onto Windows Mobile platform, a case study has been released by Microsoft.
Great efforts have been made by an iPhone application developer to put the iPhone application Amplitude on a phone running Windows Mobile 6.5″.
The case study that has been published on the Microsoft Developer Network site only looks at one particular app. It covers how an iPhone application was successfully put onto the Windows Mobile platform.
Before the launch of the Microsoft Marketplace for Mobile, Microsoft would like to attract iPhone developers over to its platform.
The competing app Store is due to begin in autumn. Windows mobile may be seen to be a more recognised platform compared to Apple’s iPhone but there will be some catching up to do for Microsoft to beat Apple’s App Store.
