Apple iPhone shortage in Australia, cannot meet demand

Phone carriers sold out of the new Apple iPhone in Australia and Apple have admitted they can’t produce enough to meet the current demand.

The iPhone 3GS was launched in Australia on June 26 but all the five telcos that had the device have already sold out of all the available stock.

Telstra blamed a ’global shortage of iPhone models’, where as other carriers simply claim that they will not have any new shipments for at least two weeks. Not good news for Apple.
Even 3 Mobile have already sold out after selling the device for just two weeks. Obviously, Apple are working as quickly as possible to address the shortage of the extremely popular iPhone. Source – news.com
