We got word about a Chinese smartphone from Dell last week, the Dell Mini 3i, and now according to an article on techtree, an image of the Dell Mini 3i has popped up on Chinese website NetEase which makes it kind of official.
The Dell Mini 3i is a 2G GSM handset with WiFi and runs Google Android based operating system which has been customised for China, and sports a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, miniUSB and microSD expansion.
Apparently China Mobile’s new application store, Mobile Market went live yesterday and this is what the Dell Mini 3i’s Android OS open source platform has been customised for, although there is no word as yet on what pricing the Dell Mini 3i will command or any availability date.
