Motorola and KDDI to build LTE network in Japan
Motorola has now announced they will be helping KDDI develop and roll out their LTE network which will include RAN/base stations reports Intomobile.
Japanese KDDI is to roll out the LTE network on 1.5GHz and 800MHz bands and is expected to offer commercial LTE by December of 2012 after several trials which are to start in the middle of next year.
The news isn’t really anything new or unexpected as KDDI and Motorola have been jointly building networks in Japan for some twenty years and originally introduced Japan’s CDMA network.
