Verizon Communications Inc, COO Denny Strigl, is retiring after 41 years in the telecom industry reports an article on phone plus mag.
The announcement of Strigl’s retirement came the same day Verizon announced a 3.3% increase in their quarterly dividend to 47.5 cents, with Strigl leaving as Verizon COO by the end of the year.
According to the man himself, commenting on his decision to retire said, “the right leadership team in place to continue our success.” Strigl moved over from Verizon Wireless in 2007 where he was president and CEO. Verizon has not yet named Strigl’s successor.
