According to an article over on digitimes, VP of Nokia N-Series, Jonas Geust has stated that Nokia will focus on the development of the Maemo platform mobile internet devices for high-end mobile computing segment along with Symbian based mobile phones for the mass market.
Geust also stressed that as Nokia developed netbooks also utilise Microsoft Windows 7, they have enough platforms for their products and thus no need to adopt and further operating systems.
Furthermore, Geust added that as Nokia have already rolled out the Maemo packing Nokia N900 with 3G tech more Maemo based devices will be rolled out in the future with 4 or 5 operating systems competing in the worldwide mobile handset OS market and Symbian S60 will take a slice of said market.
