The new Palm Pixi is similar to the Palm Pre in several ways, like sporting EVDO Rev. A, touch sensitive gestures, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, full QWERTY keyboard, 8GB storage, proximity light, light sensor, microSD slot, accelerometer and the like.
However according to an article over on precentral, the differences between the Palm Pixi and Palm Pre come in the layout with the Palm Pixi being a slate style handset with exposed QWERTY, and 18-bit colour 2.63 inch multi-touch capacitive display.
Furthermore, the Palm Pixi is much slimmer at 10.85mm than the Palm Pre and other smartphones on the market; and has a 2 megapixel camera as opposed to the 3 megapixell camera on the Palm Pre although the Palm Pixi loses the Palm Pre’s WiFi.
