Motorola Cliq is Motorola Dext for UK
For quite some time now Motorola has been struggling to grab back their former glory days in the mobile phone arena, and Motorola has taken an important step towards that goal by adopting the Android Platform.
The Guardian reports that Motorola has now unveiled their first mobile phone to sport the Android platform, the Motorola Cliq, which when it is launched in the UK next month will gain a name change to the Motorola Dext.
The Motorola Cliq sports a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, social networking witht Twitter and Facebook, music sharing via last.fm, Gmail, Gtalk, and the first of several handsets to feature the MotoBlur user interface.

I’m liking the phone…it looks like it would be a marginal upgrade for G1 users: bigger battery, more RAM (though not quite as much as I’d like to see), way more ROM, higher res (and presumably better? camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack, light & proximity sensors, and it of course keeps the keyboard (which is a must for me)…
