1800 people form across the globe attended Nokia World 2009 which was opened by Nokia President and CEO, Olli Pekka Kallasvuo announcing Nokia World 2009 as a ‘transformational’ moment in Nokia’s 144 year history reports the India Times.
A couple of big product launches were spotlighted at Nokia World 2009, the Nokia Booklet 3G and the Nokia N900 which carries the Linux based Maemo 5 operating system and marking Nokia’s move from the Symbian OS.
Nokia’s executive vice president of Markets, Annsi Vanjoki stated that the Nokia N900 is step four of a five step process which will define the mobile computing device of the future. Some believe that step five will be the launch of Maemo 6 sometime next year.
