Apparently Research In Motion has now refreshed all instant messaging clients v2.5, and are now available for download reports an article over on Crackberry

The instant messaging clients refresh bring some additions to the apps including, you can now add dedicated icons to the home screen which will give one click access to conversation boxes of specific contacts, you can now search through saved conversations, add dedicated emoticon icons in a conversation box, and add contacts and display avatars or pictures to the address book.

So if you haven’t already downloaded the latest version of individual IM clients, now is the time to do so and check out what else may be new.
