Intel hints towards mobile phones with software push
Apparently Intel is to broaden their reach with their Atom products along with unveiling a new version of Moblin to the mobile phone arena reports fierce wireless.
The announcements came during the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco, and have also said they would try to “latch onto” the idea Apple popularised with the iPhone and iTunes App Store with the hopes that devs will create applications for both netbooks and mobile phones; although Intel has no plans of creating a storefront.
Intel also gave developers a closer look at Moblin 2.1 although didn’t indicate this would be used for mobile phones, but did show a few features like missed call notification and social network integration and new updates.
