Good news for those who are with O2 and even better news if you want the Palm Pre in your hands in the UK, yes it has finally been announced that O2 UK will be releasing the Palm Pre to customers on October 16.
The webOS-powered Palm Pre will have different pricing tariffs which we will explain a bit; first of all you should know that this smartphone will only be available through O2, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U plus other O2 partners.
O2 will be providing UMTS and GSM versions of the Palm Pre and not the CDMA version that Sprint offer. You can get this handset for free but will be on a 24 month contract at £34.26 per month, you can get it on an 18 month contract for £44.05 also. You will also receive unlimited domestic HSDPA data and you will get the use of WiFi access through The Cloud and BT Openzone.
