Apparently Palm webOS 1.2 update will not re-hack iTunes 9 sync, and thus the Palm vs. Apple syncing wars comes to a close with Apple coming out on top as the clear victor even after Palm tried to get the USB-IF to come down on their side.

Precentral is suggesting that people (presumably Palm Pre owners) “dip their toes” into the non-iTunes direct sync arena, and opt for stuff such as Sailing Sync, Drag ‘n Drop, The Missing Sync, and DoubleTwist, and saying to learn them, love them and switch to them.

Still, one could say Palm put up a brave effort in fighting the giant Apple, but let’s face it in the end we all knew Apple would be victorious when it came to anything to do with iTunes.
