China Unicom will offer customers five different versions of the iPhone with 2-year service plans, the iPhone should go on sale next month (October), at first China Unicom said that the iPhone would sell for around 5,000 yuan (US$732) but pricing was not detailed enough, pre-orders will start on October 1 when they launch its commercial 3G service.
iPhone models which include the 3GS 16GB and 32GB in white and black and there will be the 8GB iPhone 3G which will only come in black. You will be able to get these handsets on or without contract.
Price Details: How much is the iPhone with China Unicom? Well the 8GB iPhone 3G will be 5,999 Yuan, the 16GB 3GS at 6,999 Yuan and 32GB iPhone 3GS 7,999. They will have a student package for 66 Yuan per month which is great news. The price will get lower the longer the contract, contract prices start from 126 Yuan then go up to 886 Yuan per month.
With the cheapest contract, which costs 126 Yuan per month, the 8GB iPhone 3G will set customers back 3,099 Yuan, while the 16GB and 32GB versions of the iPhone 3GS will cost 3,999 Yuan and 4,999 Yuan, respectively. Customers willing to pay for the second-most expensive plan, which costs 586 Yuan per month, can get an 8GB iPhone 3G for free, or pay 99 Yuan for a 16GB iPhone 3GS or 999 Yuan for a 32GB iPhone 3GS. With the most expensive monthly plan, which costs 886 Yuan per month, users can get any of the iPhone models for free.
