AT&T Allows VoIP 3G connection on iPhone
AT&T is looking to take the most “open” major carrier in the United States crown has now moved up a notch as AT&T has now announced they will allow iPhone users to use VoIP apps over a mobile connection reports an article over on unstrung.
Before, AT&T had confined VoIP to WiFi connections only on the iPhone, but now VoIP will be available over a 3G connection, and AT&T has informed the FCC of their decision.
This announcement by AT&T follows on the back of an announcement by Verizon and Google unveiling their joint venture and Verizon saying they will allow VoIP on their network.
