Internet calling provider Vonage has begun selling software that enables the user to make international calls on the BlackBerry and iPhone, and users who download the app can make calls from the United States to overseas location reports businessweek.
Vonage has said that rates will vary according to country called but calls will be cheaper than its own landline per minute rate and is also meant to be much cheaper than plans for international calls through wireless and less than traditional landline calls.
Vonage hopes to pull in many of the estimated 15 million North Americans that are expected to make calls over the mobile internet by 2013.
