AT&T have now given an update on when to expect to gain tethering on the iPhone, and the official word on the matter is apparently “not yet” according to an article on macworld who gain the info from WSJ.
Apparently a spokesperson for AT&T has stated “For tethering, we need to do some additional fine tuning to our systems and networks.”, which basically means AT&T aren’t yet ready to allow iPhone toting users access to tethering, but will in future.
We’re not too sure what the “fine tuning” entails, whether it’s a case of hitting a few buttons or switches, or forking out several million bucks and taking months on end to upgrade their network, but the word it tethering will come to the iPhone eventually; any guesses when?
