While at CTIA 2009, Toshiba showed off their latest technology, a technology called TransferJet, and according to an article over on akihabara news, simply put, TransferJet enables the user to transfer data from one device to another at a maximum speed of 200Mbps.
Furthermore the transfer takes place simply by touching a device with another, such as a mobile phone touching a computer. TransferJet is simpler and faster than Bluetooth and WiFi and apparently is set to be the future of simple data transfer.
At CTIA, Toshiba installed TransferJet onto a Pocket PC Windows Mobile handset powered by a Snapdragon CPU and transferred a photo to a notebook with almost instantaneous results.
