Looks like the Palm Pre smartphone may do quite well here in the UK as a survey by TNS shows that more than a quarter of the people surveyed showed an interest in purchasing the Palm Pre from O2 reports itproportal.

The Palm Pre has already sold more than a million over in the US, and goes on sale here in the UK on the 16th of this month, and the survey showed that the Palm Pre garnered a larger percentage of votes than the iconic iPhone when it was first launched in 07, when only 1-in6 of those surveyed said they would “definitely or probably” purchase the iPhone.

According to the research almost one third of those questioned said they would be willing to switch operators to gain the Palm Pre which will be exclusive to O2 for the time being.
