Apparently although Vodafone UK will hold exclusivity over the latest smartphone out of Research In Motion the BlackBerry Storm 2 for only a couple of weeks reports the Guardian.
The reason for such a short exclusivity with the BlackBerry Storm 2 appears to be Vodafone’s recent deal with Apple to offer the iPhone, and thus Research In Motion brought the exclusivity deal to an end in the United Kingdom.
Vodafone will offer the BlackBerry Storm 2 as a free handset when signing for a 2 year contract with a £35 per month tariff as of October the 26th, and it isn’t clear what other UK operators will offer the BlackBerry Storm 2 once Vodafone exclusivity ends.
