Apparently “tight production” is being cause at HTC due to the brisk sales of the new HTC Hero in Asia and European markets claims the vice president of Asia Pacific at HTC, Jack Tong, reports digitimes.
According to Tong, the sales momentum of their HTC Hero is expected to continue in Q1 of 2010 and thus tight production will not ease until November.
HTC believes they will continue to maintain a leading position in the Android smartphone segment despite the increasing number of Android based smartphones launched by rival companies. However they will have to wait until probably the 2nd half of 2010 to see who wins the market stated Tong.
